BMW slashes prices of China-made iX3 SUVs

German carmaker BMW slashed prices of its Chinese-manufactured all-electric iX3 SUV on Thursday.

According to the official website, the price starts from 399,900 yuan ($61,713), which represents 70,100 yuan ($10,800) or a 15% decrease in comparison with last year's price. The higher-end version price was discounted by the same amount as well.

Tesla recently cut the price of its Shanghai-made Model Y that now costs 339,900 yuan ($52,000), while Nio’s ES6 starts with 358,000 yuan ($55,314).
