Google: DoJ antitrust lawsuit 'deeply flawed'

Google LLC issued a statement on Tuesday saying the Justice Department's antitrust lawsuit against the company is "deeply flawed," and isn't helping consumers of its products.

"This lawsuit would do nothing to help consumers. On the contrary, it would artificially prop up lower-quality search alternatives, raise phone prices, and make it harder for people to get the search services they want to use," the statement noted.

Alphabet's subsidiary claimed that all agreements it has signed with manufacturers of smart devices and other tech businesses had passed necessary antitrust reviews multiple times, including the deals with Apple and Microsoft.
