Amazon to launch new gaming cloud service Luna

Amazon.com announced at its 2020 Hardware Event on Thursday the launch of its new gaming cloud service titled Luna Controller, an Alexa-based application that will allow users to access their games through the platform.

"Because the Luna Controller connects directly to cloud servers, players can easily switch between screens — such as Fire TV to the mobile phone — without additional pairing or configuration changes," the company explained. Luna will first debut on PC, Mac, Fire TV, and iPhone and iPad systems, with an Android version to follow soon. The service will be available for an "introductory price" of $5.99 per month during its early phase. Amazon is yet to confirm the release date.

At the same event, the tech giant confirmed the launch of its Echo Show 10 display that will have the option to stream Netflix.
