Thyssenkrupp Elevator announced on Wednesday that it became a part of the Corporate Electric Vehicle Alliance (CEVA) as it plans to shift to an all-electric fleet.

The company said that most of its carbon reductions would come from its vehicle fleet through optimization and route efficiency planning, while CEVA will provide information on best practices about fleet electrification. The elevator company will also use technology to cut the number of diagnostic trips and determine which tools are needed for maintenance. Thyssenkrupp Elevator added it aims to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% until 2040.

Thyssenkrupp sold Thyssenkrupp Elevator to Advent earlier this year for €17.2 billion.
