Mercedes-Benz to resume second shift in factory in Brazil

The Brazilian unit of Mercedes-Benz announced it is bringing back the second shift in its factory located in Sao Paulo, in order to develop social distancing with its employees.

The company also said most of its workers will have their contracts temporarily suspended.

The vice president of human resources at Mercedes-Benz for Latin America, Fernando Garcia said that "with this schedule, we will have fewer people working per shift, which guarantees social distancing. In addition, we have temporarily adjusted our production volume to meet specific orders from truck customers."
