Dow tumbles over 250 pts premarket awaiting new stimulus

Stocks on the United States markets plunged in the premarket despite the recent claims made by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that there's a "high likelihood" another relief package for the country's economy will be brought by Congress. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump insisted the US must become the world's top medical manufacturer.

In business news, Nvidia Corp. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. have recently released their financial results for the first quarter of the year.

The Dow tumbled 1.04% or 255 points at 4:14 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 fell 1.11% or 103 points at the same time. A minute later, the S&P 500 dropped 1.06%. The euro lost 0.39% versus the dollar to sell for $1.09094 at 4:15 am ET.
