Wall Street falls premarket amid US-China dispute

Shares on Wall Street traded lower in the premarket on Tuesday amid the ongoing dispute between the United States and China. President Donald Trump previously threatened the US would halt funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), after which China responded by saying the US administration uses the Asian country "to move the attention from its own incompetence," deepening further the conflict between the two superpowers.

The Dow dropped 0.35% at 4:41 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 stood flat at the same time. A minute later, the S&P 500 lost 0.28%.

The euro rose 0.17% against the dollar to sell for $1.09250 at 4:42 am ET.
