Airbus SE announced on Monday new measures aimed at improving its liquidity and balance sheet in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The company said it signed a €15 billion credit facility and that it was withdrawing its 2020 dividend and guidance. In addition, it will suspend the voluntary top up in pension funding.

"Our first priority is protecting people while supporting efforts globally to curb the spread of the coronavirus," chief executive Guillaume Faury said in a press release, adding he is "convinced that Airbus and the broader aerospace sector will overcome this critical period."
