Salesforce's revenue at $4.85 billion in Q4, up 35% YoY

Tuesday, 25. February 2020 22:10 Inc. announced on Tuesday that its revenue in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year amounted to $4.85 billion, rising 35% compared to the same period a year prior. Meanwhile, the company's net loss per share landed at $0.28 in the three months ending January 31, a decrease from $0.46 recorded in the fourth trimester of the previous year. Gross profit climbed 36% annually to $3.63 billion in the fourth quarter while total operating expenses stood at $3.67 billion, growing 45% year-on-year.

For the whole fiscal 2020, the firm's revenue jumped 29% on an annual basis to $17.1 billion while its earnings per share stood at $0.15, slumping nearly 90% compared to a year prior. Salesforce's gross profit amounted to $12.86 billion in the fiscal year ending January 31, marking a growth of 31% annually.

"Our Q4 and FY20 results were phenomenal. We are delighted to raise our revenue guidance for FY21 by $200 million to $21.1 billion at the high end of the range while expanding our operating margin," Salesforce Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff said in a statement.

The cloud-based software company's stocks slipped over 3% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
