European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus SE announced on Monday it expects the sale of its A321XLRs aircraft, which is a longer-range version of the single-aisle A321neo jetliner, will surpass 1,000 jets over the next 10 years. Speaking to reporters at the Singapore Airshow on Tuesday, Airbus Head of Marketing Francois Caudron said the "forecast includes a mix of new orders and conversions from other models."

Earlier last week, the Wall Street Journal reported Airbus SE is in talks to buy Bombardier's 34% stake in their joint venture which is focused on the development and manufacturing of the Airbus A220 commercial jetliner, citing sources familiar with the matter.

In the morning trade on Tuesday, Airbus stocks rose by 1.2%, selling for €138.32 at 9:28 am CET.
