Ryanair DAC could acquire up to 100 planes from Airbus SE, WirtschaftsWoche reported on Friday.

According to a spokesperson for Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost airline started negotiations with Airbus because of the uncertainty related to the Boeing Co.'s 737 MAX relicensing process.

Ryanair previosuly ordered 135 Boeing's 737 MAX planes as a part of its plan to fly around 200 million passengers in 2024, more than 60 million than it did in 2019. However, the airline will now reportedly lack dozens of aircraft needed to fulfill its intentions due to the delay.
