China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) reached the deal with aerospace company Airbus SE about purchasing additional 40 A321neo planes. As per the official announcement, the deal also includes a conversion of 15 of its existing A320neo backlog into A321neos.

From CALC’s total order for 252 A320 family aircraft, 87 have been delivered and one of them is an A321neo. A321neo offers 20 percent less fuel consumption as well as a 50 percent noise reduction. To date, the A320 Family got more than 15,300 orders and more than 9,000 aircraft have been delivered worldwide.

The European airplane maker reportedly delivered 863 jets in 2019, which is 8% more than in the year prior and, therefore, left The Boeing Co. behind to become the world's largest plane manufacturer.
