Airbus reports 1% lower revenue of €15.3B in Q3

Airbus SE said on Wednesday that its revenue in the third quarter contracted 1% annually to arrive at €15.3 billion. Meanwhile, net income increased 3%, reaching €989 million, as earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) tanked 14%, totaling €1.34 billion in the same period.

Earnings per share added 3% to come in at €1.27. By segment, Defence and Space saw the largest annual increase in revenue of 12%, while Helicopters lead with a 22% rise in EBIT. Year to date, EPS surged 49% compared to the first nine months of 2018, as revenue grew 14%.

"Our nine-month delivery numbers and the updated delivery outlook for the year reflect the underlying actions to secure a more efficient delivery flow in the next years as we progress to rate 63 per month for the A320 Family in 2021," noted CEO Guillaume Faury.
