Daimler fined €870M in Germany over dieselgate

Stuttgart public prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday that it is fining the German automaker Daimler AG for €870M over its breach of diesel emission regulations.

The prosecutor's office found a violation with vehicle diesel certification that went back to 2008.

Daimler said in a statement that it will not appeal the decision. The company's shares went down 0.59% at 3:28 pm CET.
