FCA partners up with Engie, Enel X on EV charging

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCA) said on Friday it signed two deals with energy provider Enel X and electric utility firm Engie to offer "innovative charging solutions" for its electric vehicles. The carmaker primarily wants to support the rollout of its Fiat 500 BEV and Jeep Renegade PHEV electric cars.

Mike Manley, Chief Executive Officer of FCA said: "These partnerships build on the e-mobility strategy we announced last year as part of our five-year business plan We are assembling an eco-system of partners, products and services across multiple markets to meet and exceed the rapidly evolving expectations of our customers for electrified vehicles."

According to the plan. United States-based Enel X work with FCA in Italy, Spain and Portugal, while most of Europe will be covered by French Engie.
