American cloud-based software company Salesforce.com Inc. announced on Friday that it will add 1,500 new jobs at its Irish branch over the next five years and build a new campus in a dockside area of Dublin.

The new campus, Salesforce Tower Dublin, will be an urban campus of four interconnected buildings located on North Wall Quay on the banks of the Liffey river. Salesforce employees will start moving into the 430,000 square foot (39,948 square metre) campus by the middle of 2021. The company's philanthropic arm, Salesforce.org, also announced a grant of $1 million to Educate Together, which supports the opening and running of schools in Ireland.

The announcement rounds off a week in which reports also emerged that Salesforce is in talks with Israeli company ClickSoftware to acquire it for around $1.5 billion. Its shares were trading 0.50% higher at 7:30 ET following the news.
