Europe closes in red as no-confidence in UK PM looms |

The markets in Europe closed in the red on Tuesday as investors considered the possibility a parliamentary no-confidence vote in Prime Minister Theresa May, announced United Kingdom's Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. May, however said she will not allow the House of Commons to have a say on the future of her leadership. The DAX lost 0.11%, with Fresenius as the worst performer. The CAC 40 dropped 0.73%, with Accor and Total leading the losses. The FTSE 100 dipped 1.06% led by losses of National Grid. The Euro Stoxx 50 declined 0.58% with Telefonica SA as the biggest loser. The euro gained 0.16 against the dollar, buying 1.1364 at 5:30 pm CET. |
